Activist of the Conservative Christian Party BPF Syarhei Kavalenka, accused of hanging out a national white-red-white flag on a New Year’s tree, has been moved to a detention facility for two months.

Kanstantsin Zhukouski informed the press-center of the BCD that he had received a demand to file the tax declaration for the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 till January 3rd, 2010. The activist thinks that the tax inspectors break his rights demanding to provide the declaration for the year 2007 as he already reported on his incomes during this period, and was fined for more than 2 million rubles. We remind herewith that Zhukouski was fined for undeclared money gifts which he received from his Ukrainian relatives for his wedding. After that, the tax inspection demanded he should file the declaration for the year 2007 again, but the activist successfully claimed this demand in court. 29/12/2009
